We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Illustrator/Motion Designer with extraordinary skills and passion for creating compelling visual narratives. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, design architects, producers, engineers, and peer designers, to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

We're looking for someone who is hands-on and a creative storyteller that can make high-level decisions in collaboration with various teams to deliver on the next-generation for our products.

About CrowdStrike Design:

CrowdStrike believes the product designer is an equal partner with product management and engineering leads. This means designers own the user experience solution for any project. We look for full stack designers who can bring leadership from the conception phase through the final rollout. Design at CrowdStrike drives innovation, inspiration, and the future of the product. Craftsmanship, attention to detail, flexibility, and love for great products binds us together as a team.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and create cohesive illustrations and motion graphics for various platforms and mediums.

  • Develop and maintain consistent illustration and animation style guides.

  • Consider and seek out potential additional use cases beyond a single project when deciding to expand upon existing templates and patterns.

  • Create engaging animated content for product and internal communications.

  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and creative direction.

  • Build cross-team consensus while solving complex challenges.

  • Swiftly scope project work and balance short-term delivery needs with long-term goals.

  • Promote collaborative decision-making.

  • Develop knowledge of all CrowdStrike features and services in order to drive extensible, consistent, and cohesive solutions.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong illustration portfolio demonstrating various styles and techniques

  • Expertise in industry-standard tools including:

    • Figma, Axure

    • Adobe Creative Suite

    • Animation and motion design tools

  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills in verbal and written formats

  • Experience with leveraging and contributing to enterprise-level brand systems and guidelines

  • Ability to create accessible illustrations

  • Documentation expertise for style guides and standards

  • Strong understanding of animation principles and storytelling

  • Strong use of design artifacts to effectively build alignment, communicate ideas, and deliver an experience

  • Experience with custom Enterprise SaaS product design systems; familiarity with high-volume data industries such as cybersecurity and fintech is a plus but not necessary

  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle

  • Self-driven, growth-oriented, open to feedback and improvement

  • Data-driven decision-making skills

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Excellent communication skills for effective team engagement and stakeholder relations

  • Ability to create alignment between various stakeholders

  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities

  • Embraces ambiguity while figuring out incremental progress

  • Online portfolio

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Localization

  • Familiarity with engineering frameworks and ecosystems (Web Components, React, Ember, etc)

  • Experience with character animation

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering
