Implementation Consultant

ECI is seeking a motivated and customer-focused professional to join our Implementation Services team as an Implementation Consultant. In this role, you will help customers successfully implement and adopt ECI software solutions by guiding them through the implementation process, configuring the system to meet their operational needs, and ensuring a smooth transition to production.

The Implementation Consultant works closely with customers to understand their business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver a solution aligned with their operational goals. This role requires a balance of technical aptitude, business process understanding, and strong customer engagement skills.

You will also collaborate internally with implementation colleagues and cross-functional teams while contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the Implementation Services organization.

Spruce ERP is a purpose-built solution designed for lumberyards and building materials suppliers. It unifies core operations—including point of sale, inventory, purchasing, delivery, accounting, and reporting—into a single platform.

Built for the unique needs of the LBM industry, Spruce helps businesses streamline operations, improve visibility, and make more informed decisions to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead software implementation projects for new customers, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Spruce ERP
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the implementation process
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer business processes, operational goals, and system requirements
  • Identify gaps in existing systems or workflows and recommend solutions within the ECI platform
  • Configure and set up software solutions based on documented customer requirements
  • Facilitate customer workshops to define current and future business processes
  • Perform fit-gap analysis and help design system configurations that align with customer operations
  • Support data migration efforts, including data preparation and formatting recommendations
  • Coordinate and support testing activities, including concept validation and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Assist customers with go-live preparation and provide post-go-live support and consulting
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, activity reports, and time tracking
  • Identify potential project risks or issues and coordinate escalations when necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and budget
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to support team development and continuous improvement
  • Work environment: Fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-focused

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in software implementation, consulting, or a related customer-facing role
  • Experience or working knowledge of the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry
  • Experience conducting requirements gathering and business process analysis
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured implementation environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Travel requirement: Up to 60%
  • Experience implementing ERP or business software solutions
  • Knowledge of software implementation methodologies and project lifecycle management
