Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Implementation Specialist, a post-sales position within our software safety solutions team, delivering cloud solutions to the public safety sector. Growing rapidly with patented and award winning products, our software-as-a-service suite keeps millions of people across the United States safe, secure and connected. As an Implementation Specialist, you will collaborate across cross-functional teams to evaluate organizational readiness, streamline legacy workflows, and ensure enterprise business units are fully equipped to maximize cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities:

The Implementation Specialist will play an integral role in the success of the Motorola Cloud Provisioning team by maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate should have a track record working directly with customers on the installation and configuration of SaaS solutions while answering technical questions and resolving complex customer issues. If you excel at translating complex technical shifts into smooth operational transitions, driving change, and measuring impact, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our global cloud deployment model.

Implementation Specialists ensure project success by overseeing the project lifecycle, execute the technical deployment, drive activation, configuration, and training to integrate new solutions. Role requires accountability, strong communication, client management, and problem-solving skills to meet deliverables, focusing on customer time to value.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Implementation Leadership & Delivery :

  • Drive On-Time Activation and Delivery: Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor, Control and Solve
  • Validate scope and goals, document and track deliverables and milestones to drive the implementation forward with clear expectations and target completion dates.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment across varied enterprise groups.
  • Risk Management: Manage timeline and mitigate risks. Proactively anticipate issues, explore contingency plans, and provide effective escalation management throughout all phases.
  • Leadership: Guide the client project team and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Manage resolution of technical and non-technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot a broad range of technical issues on the application and OS levels.
  • Installation, migration and upgrade of products on accelerated time schedules.
  • Develop a full understanding of all products.
  • Create or contribute to process documentation and improvements.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures when required.
  • Create and review knowledge base documentation and FAQs based on issue solutions.
  • Conduct training on various Products and Services.

Qualifications :

  • 4+ years operating at the intersection of business operations, project management, and cloud implementation in Enterprise, Public Safety or Government systems software implementation. Understanding of Public Safety customer environments for product security and reliability
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed
  • Excellent investigative and debugging skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under strict deadlines and interact with customers of varying experience levels
  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of tools
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Ruby)
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Knowledge of web services/web technology (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON)
  • Knowledge of VMware, managing Virtual Machines

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.


Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

High school diploma

4+ years operating at the intersection of business operations, project management, and cloud implementation in Enterprise, Public Safety or Government systems software implementation.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
