We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to support our Facilities Engineering function in optimizing manufacturing environments for defense electronics and commercial aerospace manufacturing. This role will focus on layout, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives within our factory facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in support of factory rearrangements and construction efforts that are executed through annual internal capital investments.
The Industrial Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing environments. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting layout and optimization efforts during building renovation projects that impact factory floors, ensuring efficient use of space and effective tooling arrangements.
  • Collaborating with Operations teams to gain a deep understanding of factory flow, value streams, and material handling processes, logistics, and providing input on space use efficiency and approaches to consolidate and optimize space.
  • Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in mechanical, electrical, architectural, and controls engineering to ensure factory designs align with operational needs and infrastructure requirements, optimizing factory designs and ensuring infrastructure matches factory needs.
  • Providing input and design recommendations on individual tool installations and other minor factory rearrangements to support operational needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and maximizing efficiency.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
  • Proven experience in industrial engineering principles, including lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in defense electronics, aerospace or related industry.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience with simulation software.
  • Knowledge of facility infrastructure MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
  • Experience with Facilities design, plant rearrangement and brownfield/greenfield construction a plus.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
