About the Team/Role

OTR Certification & Technical Testing Lifecycle

  • Coordinate and guide the 90-to 180-day certification lifecycle for assigned merchant and POS vendor portfolios, guiding stakeholders from Initiation and Scope Discovery through Lab/Beta Testing to final Production Release.

  • Create, tailor, and maintain technical test scripts weekly based on specific customer hardware and software profiles (Full Certification vs. Regression Testing), actively troubleshooting authorization or script execution errors daily.

Lab Configuration, Connectivity & AI Optimization (Weekly):

  • Configure test environments daily using the eManager Portal to set up test cards, prompts, and velocity limits for assigned regional accounts.

  • Collaborate weekly with client engineering teams to establish secure network connectivity (SSL, VPN, Direct Connect) while proactively adopting AI-assisted diagnostic tools and process automation scripts to optimize manual testing workflows.

Data Validation & Quality Assurance (Daily & Project-Based):

  • Execute intermediate to advanced SQL queries on backend tables daily to audit test results, verify transaction outputs, and ensure data integrity against live system logs and Script Workbooks.

  • Champion successful launches by issuing formal Certification Letters and providing hands-on operational support during the critical 30-day post-launch stabilization window daily.

Technical Specification Adherence & Operations Support:

  • Serve as a primary technical resource expert for assigned regions, ensuring strict adherence to technical interface specifications, including ISO 8583 Card Payment Authorization and Proprietary Sales Transaction files.

  • Resolve production authorization anomalies, POS terminal equipment issues, and transaction data file questions during outage reconciliations weekly.

  • Proactively identify and embrace opportunities to integrate AI and automation technologies into operational processes. This includes initiatives to drive scale, reduce reliance on manual processes, and mitigate operational risks.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Project Management:

  • Lead weekly kickoff meetings, technical alignment sessions, and project updates as the primary technical point of contact with external merchants and internal teams (Merchant Development, NetOps, Product Support).

These statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed rather than give an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in payment processing, IT systems support, network interface testing, or technical QA.

  • Technical Acumen: Proven ability to understand, interpret, and apply technical interface specifications (API/Network Interface Testing).

  • Data Proficiency: Demonstrated intermediate to advanced SQL skills to extract data, verify transaction outputs, and analyze system logs. Testing Expertise: Hands-on experience creating, executing, and troubleshooting technical test scripts and validation files.

  • Communication: Strong track record of managing external client and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

  • Background Check: Must successfully pass a background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Education: Specialized certifications in QA, Payment Systems, or Project Management.

  • Specific Skills: Prior experience navigating WEX, EFS, or OTR proprietary payment network schemes and transaction workflows. Hands-on familiarity with payment test environments, terminal setups, eManager Portal, and EMV/CHIP parameters.

  • Technical Skills: Experience leveraging process automation tools, scripting languages, or data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Soft Skills: High intellectual curiosity, resilience in troubleshooting complex technical bottlenecks, and exceptional organizational agility.
