Cybersecurity Manager - Identity Governance & Administration
The Cybersecurity Manager - Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) leads a team of subject matter experts and engineers who deliver secure, scalable, and compliant identity governance capabilities across Caterpillar. This role is accountable for people leadership, product delivery, and modernization of the enterprise IGA platform. This role requires a proven technology leader who can deliver complex, global IGA and related IAM capabilities aligned to enterprise security strategy, while building talent in an Agile environment.
What You Will Do:
- Lead delivery and operations of enterprise IGA capabilities (e.g., access certifications, policy enforcement, role lifecycle management, and compliance reporting).
- Drive product-centric, outcome-based execution for IGA services, projects, and platform modernization.
- Ensure alignment with IT security policies, SOX controls, and regulatory requirements, partner with audit and support remediation plans.
- Maintain operational stability and service performance; manage threats, vulnerabilities, and continuous improvement for owned products and services.
- Balance Agile delivery speed with cybersecurity risk management and governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain IAM/IGA security roadmap; function as a change agent for programs impacting the enterprise.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team; enable effective Agile-aligned ways of working.
- Partner with IAM, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver integrated, compliant solutions.
- Develop business cases, manage capital, and expense budgets for IGA operations and programs.
- Maintain industry relationships to stay current on IAM/IGA practices and technologies.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing technical and/or cybersecurity teams.
- Experience delivering or supporting Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).
- Effective communication, writing, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance user experience, cybersecurity risk, and governance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives in a demanding environment.
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Considerable experience in information security, including IAM/IGA.
- Direct experience with an enterprise IGA platform and related governance processes (e.g., access reviews/certifications and compliance reporting).
- Strong business acumen; ability to translate cybersecurity outcomes into enterprise value.
- Experience operating in product-centric models and/or leading teams through Agile transformation.
- Demonstrated success developing talent and preparing team members for expanded roles.
- Security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) preferred.
