Job Description SummaryThe Inquiry to Order (ITO) Project Manager will work closely with the nuclear installed base services team. They will assist product line leaders by directing and coordinating required activities for potential projects from R1 (bid/no bid), R2 (proposal preparation), R3 (proposal negotiation), and R4 (ITO to Order to Remittance (OTR) handoff).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a schedule is created for each opportunity in accordance with the Workforce Planning and Scheduling procedure
  • Maintain status and organization of multiple opportunities/proposals in various stages of the ITO process
  • Develop and maintain schedule templates by leveraging past project execution lessons learned and project change requests
  • Create proposal requests for subcontracted work as applicable
  • Navigate the commercial risk management process for each opportunity by identifying technical risks and implement risk mitigation plans
  • Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings
  • Facilitate customer proposal comment resolution sessions
  • Collaborate with legal to develop non-disclosure agreements as necessary
  • Review purchase order contracts and compare to proposal language to ensure compliance
  • Monitor schedules to ensure the Project Planned Start match the best estimate for when the project work will begin

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years experience as a project manager
  • OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience working on projects
  • Proven professional experience in project management, engineering or business

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The preferred work location for this role is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) headquarters in Wilmington, NC but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered. (Relocation assistance provided)
  • This role requires access to U..S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. government.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM
  • Proficient with project management software tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc)
  • Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
  • Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
  • Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project execution

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $145,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
