The Account Manager is responsible for driving new business within an assigned vertical market by building relationships and establishing LION as a leading voice in fire safety training. This role is ideal for a resourceful, digitally savvy sales professional who excels at social selling and has a passion for using advanced sales tools to drive engagement and growth in their market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Expand Market Presence: Develop new business within the assigned vertical by proactively identifying prospects, leveraging social selling techniques, and nurturing relationships through strategic outreach. Utilize a blend of traditional sales methods and digital networking to increase LION’s market penetration and establish a trusted presence within the vertical.
- Establish a Strong Presence: Establish a strong presence in your assigned vertical by engaging with customers and educating the market on fire safety training, positioning yourself as a trusted expert within your vertical.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Use solution-based selling to understand each customer’s unique needs, providing insights that position LION as the preferred choice for fire safety solutions.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts and share relevant market trends to assist with product positioning and business development.
- Continuous Learning & Tool Adoption: Stay up-to-date with emerging sales technologies, including AI-driven tools, to maintain a competitive edge in sales outreach and customer engagement.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within a specialized market, with a strong track record in consultative or solution-based selling.
- Proven experience in social selling and digital networking, with proficiency in tools such as Salesforce CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Digital proficiency, with a strong understanding of online sales tools and a commitment to using technology to enhance sales productivity.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for creating engaging social content and thought leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers within target verticals.
RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS:
- Collaborate closely with Senior Sales Leadership, Marketing, and the broader sales team to align strategies and drive impactful customer engagements.
- Engage regularly with key decision-makers and influencers within the assigned vertical market.
