Assessment Team, Academic Services

 

Role Mission:

The Intern supports IDEA’s mission by contributing to day-to-day team operations, project execution, and administrative priorities while developing foundational professional skills in a collaborative work environment.

Location:

This is a part-time hybrid position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

Essential Duties:             

  • Support assigned team with daily operational, administrative, and project-related tasks.
  • Assist with organizing, tracking, and maintaining information relevant to team priorities.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, or materials to support team initiatives.
  • Support special projects and follow-up activities as assigned.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input English Language Arts Exit Tickets in the district testing system
  • Targeted problem solving related to district testing system access
  • Cross-team collaboration to ensure data is accessible and visible in district data systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team and organizational priorities.

 Required experience:

  • Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Multi-task oriented

 

 Preferred experience:

  • High School Diploma, associate or bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Interpersonal, relationship building skills
  • Able to work independently to meet goals and expected outcomes

 

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 15 pounds (occasionally)

 What We Offer:

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary for this role is $11 hourly up to 32 hours/week for up to 4.5 months.
