Compensation: $90,000-$95,000 plus yearly 6% discretionary bonus

Job Purpose:
The IRA Administrator is responsible for the accurate administration, reporting, and compliance of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). This role requires hands-on experience with IRS reporting forms, deep knowledge of IRA regulations, and the ability to stay current with ongoing regulatory and contribution limit changes. Duties and responsibilities:
- Administer Traditional, Roth, SEP, and SIMPLE IRA accounts in accordance with IRS and regulatory requirements
- Prepare, review, and file IRS Forms 5498 and 1099-R accurately and on time
- Monitor and implement regulatory updates, including annual contribution limit increases and distribution rule changes
- Ensure compliance with IRS, DOL, and applicable state regulations
- Resolve account discrepancies and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
- Coordinate with custodians, advisors, and internal teams to ensure smooth account operations
- Assist with regulatory examinations and internal audits as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and compliance controls
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience administering IRAs
- Direct experience preparing and filing Forms 5498 and 1099-R
- Strong working knowledge of IRA rules, tax reporting, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with regulatory changes, including contribution limits and IRS guidance
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with retirement account systems and Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of IRA or retirement plan administration experience
- Experience working with custodians, trust companies, or financial services firms
- Familiarity with ERISA and DOL guidelines
