Description

 GCEFCU is searching for a Help Desk Specialist to join our IT department! 

The Help Desk Specialist is responsible for ensuring outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members seeking help with credit union technology. This is an entry-level IT position meant to help jumpstart a career in IT!

The schedule for this position is M-F 8:00am-5:00pm and alternating Saturdays 9:00am to 12:00pm. 

Pasadena is the primary work location, with occasional travel to other branches. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Help Desk & End User Support

Manage and respond to Help Desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner through phone, email, and ticketing systems, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution of all requests.

Hardware & Software Management

Install, configure, modify, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Perform basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware issues across devices such as servers, workstations, printers, scanners, cameras, and access control systems.

System Maintenance & Preventative Support

Perform routine maintenance on desktop systems, including updates, antivirus management, cable organization, and general upkeep to ensure system stability and security.

User Access & Onboarding

Manage new user onboarding processes, including provisioning system access, configuring accounts, and coordinating physical and logical access (badges, logins, email).

Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities

Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA. 

General Duties

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

- One year to three years of similar or relates experience 

-Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, personal computers, PC operating systems, peripheral equipment, etc.

-Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
