Last Energy is seeking a BIM/VDC Specialist to support the development of single and multi-trade coordination models for their Balance of Plant and Nuclear Island power products. This role will be key in creating and managing 3D models, drawings, and associated data, coordinating design and engineering decisions across a multi-disciplinary engineering team, and developing BIM/VDC standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and manage models and drawings of power plant parts, assemblies, modules, and structures
  • Create and manage parameters and associated data
  • Create, manage, and maintain model templates, data templates, and BIM/VDC standards
  • Coordinate engineering decisions across multi-disciplinary teams within the BIM environment and CDE
  • Prepare models for low and high-fidelity use cases; geometry simplification for FEA is a plus
  • Other modeling, drawing, data management, and coordination tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a BIM/VDC-related role
  • Strong knowledge of BIM tools: Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor, and ACC preferred
  • Strong knowledge of BIM principles and workflows; CDE, LOD, 4D+ modeling, preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of modular prefabrication and/or parts fabrication preferred
  • Basic knowledge of parametric modeling, shared parameters, and using formulas in model workflows
  • Basic knowledge of structural, mechanical, and/or process engineering concepts is preferred
  • Able to communicate information effectively and tailor to the intended audience
  • Able to creatively solve problems and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
