Hunt, Gather is a full-service creative agency in Austin, TX. We’re makers + doers who live for what we do. And what we do is give a damn about everything that comes into or out of our shop. Creative has the power to yield positive change. We look for clients and other makers + doers that don’t just believe in that idea, but want to produce the work that makes that positive change happen.

We're looking for a Junior Designer to join our talented team to help make those big ideas happen. This person should be an incredible designer and strategic thinker and can both execute on existing brand direction, or push boundaries when the project calls for it. We all love what we do and it shows--we want like-minded folks to apply. If you don't give a damn, don't.

The Junior Designer will report directly to a Creative Director and collaborate closely with the entire team.

In This Role:

  • Create compelling creative and conceptual design on traditional, digital, and video projects for our clients

  • Understand the entire client journey, inclusive of all experiences, and bring informed storytelling and an approachable tone to every touchpoint

  • Collaborate with the team to develop client presentations and new business pitches by finding references, supporting design concepts, and creating mockups to make a vision come to life

  • Ensure all projects maintain a high degree of innovation, quality, and consistency. Make strategic design choices that keep agency and client objectives in mind, independently finding creative solutions

  • Support brands through their lifecycle, including launch, developing design consistent with brand guidelines, messaging, tone, and voice

  • Bring best-in-class creative design thinking, execution and ideas by continually researching trends, strategies and new technology

  • Deliver work on time with close attention to detail

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

The Ideal Person:

  • Located in Austin, TX (or willing to relocate)

  • Has 2+ years of experience in a similar design-focused role

  • Has a diverse portfolio of work showcasing conceptual thinking and design craft

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) on the Mac Platform, experience with Webflow and Figma a plus

  • Has an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of graphic design, including knowledge of appropriate file formats, resolution, compression, and style guides

  • Must be able to accept changes readily and can be flexible in adapting to re-prioritized tasks

  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented in a production intensive environment

  • Possesses strong verbal communication and presentation skills, able to articulate ideas in a clear manner and accept directional feedback

  • Loves tacos and want to work with a close-knit group of awesome and talented people
