Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia with offices in Dallas, Texas; and Prague, Czech Republic, with 500+ team members across the world. We have both location-focused and work-from-home jobs.

Overview:

  • Workstyle: Remote

  • Reports to: VP, Strategic Partnerships & Verticals

  • Travel Expectations:  Minimal travel; will be determined by business needs and may include occasional trips for key meetings, collaboration opportunities, or area-connected events.

  • Physical Requirements/Demands: This is a primarily sedentary, home-based role that requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer. The role involves regular use of standard office equipment, such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a high-performing Strategic Account Executive to drive Custom Ink’s expansion within an assigned industry vertical. This is not your typical sales role — it’s a career-defining opportunity to lead a strategic vertical, build deep industry relationships, and shape how one of the country's most trusted brands serves enterprise clients.

This role calls for a consultative, entrepreneurial sales professional with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals and build enduring relationships with enterprise clients.

  • Bring 5–10+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally in a vertical-focused or named account model

  • Demonstrate success managing long sales cycles and navigating multifaceted decision-making structures

  • A consultative, customer-first mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Exceptionally skilled at prospecting, solution selling, multithreading, and building trusted relationships with executive-level buyers.

  • Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and accountability — you own your vertical and are expected to think and act like a business owner.

  • Strategic and data-driven — you know how to use insights, tools, and collaboration to drive outcomes.

  • Display exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Show familiarity with or deep interest in your assigned industry vertical

What you’ll do:

In this role, you'll own a named list of top accounts in your vertical, prospect and close new logos, and partner closely with our Customer Success and Marketing teams to deepen penetration in existing relationships. You will be the industry expert for Custom Ink in an assigned industry with the freedom and accountability to build a multi-year, multi-million-dollar book of business.

  • Own the vertical – Act as the go-to industry expert and AE for a curated list of enterprise accounts nationwide

  • Prospect and expand – Identify new enterprise logos while expanding revenue within existing accounts through solution selling and multithreading

  • Shape the strategy – Translate vertical insights and market trends into meaningful actions that guide sales motions and campaign development

  • Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with Marketing to influence demand generation and ABM campaigns, and with Customer Success to ensure world-class onboarding and growth

  • Drive retention and expansion – Focus on long-term value, delivering repeat business, increased share of wallet, and deep customer loyalty

  • Advise and influence – Serve as a vertical voice across the company, sharing feedback, highlighting opportunities, and shaping go-to-market strategy

How you’ll be measured:

  • Growth in top-line revenue and gross margin by vertical, including year-over-year trends and performance to plan

  • Volume and quality of new business development activities (e.g., leads, outreach, demos, events, ABM follow-up)

  • New customer acquisition and revenue contribution, including stack ranking and revenue per teammate

  • Effectiveness of collaboration with Marketing and Customer Success on campaigns, onboarding, and retention

  • Customer experience metrics, including tNPS, CSAT, and order accuracy

  • Contribution to vertical strategy, including insights, pipeline quality, and campaign participation

How you’ll make a difference:

As a Lead Account Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Custom Ink’s industry presence and growth strategy. Your work will help unlock meaningful connections between our brand and the enterprise clients who depend on us for team gear, employee swag, branded kits, and more. By blending insight, relationship building, and commercial acumen, you’ll drive results that support our mission and create lasting value for our customers and our business.

Compensation:

We are committed to providing pay transparency and equitable compensation.

For this salaried exempt position, the base salary range is $103,500 - $120,000 plus a quarterly commission targeted at $17,500, tied to individual/company performance and continued retention. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.

The perks!

  • Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge with flexible paid time off policies and major paid holidays.

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Complete Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage at a low cost through a PPO or HDHP plan to support your and your family’s well-being.
