Stord is hiring a remote Lead Brand Designer to own and evolve its visual identity across the website, product marketing, events, sales collateral, and social. It's a hands-on player-coach role. You'll set creative direction, build scalable brand guidelines and templates, guide a small team of designers and freelancers, and still design high-impact work yourself. You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Content, Sales, Product Design, and leadership. We're looking for 8+ years of brand design experience (2+ leading), advanced Figma and Adobe skills, a strong portfolio, and someone organized and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a seasoned Swiss Army knife brand designer with the appetite to both lead and execute world-class designs, ranging from website redesigns and experiential activations to OOH, print, and more, with equal parts speed and precision? If so, read on! We're on the hunt for a Lead Brand Designer who can help us bring the brand to life and ensure the world knows Stord as the leader in commerce.

In this role, you will focus on defining, evolving, and protecting Stord's visual identity across every place customers, brands, and prospects meet us, from the website and product marketing to events, sales collateral, and social. You will translate Stord's positioning as The Consumer Experience Company into a distinctive, cohesive brand system that builds trust, sharpens differentiation, and supports pipeline growth and brand awareness. This role is a hands-on player-coach: a creative leader with strong craft who sets the design direction, raises the bar for the team's work, and still opens the files and ships.

You will have the opportunity to guide a small team of designers and freelance partners, and you will partner closely with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, Sales, Product Design, and Executive leadership. Expect a fast-moving, collaborative environment where brand decisions connect directly to business outcomes. This is a remote opportunity.

What You'll Do
  • Own the brand system: Maintain and evolve Stord's visual identity, including logo, color, typography, illustration, iconography, photography, motion, and layout, and keep it documented in clear, usable guidelines and templates.
  • Set creative direction: Define the design vision for campaigns, launches, the website, events, and sales enablement, and ensure every asset looks and feels unmistakably Stord.
  • Design high-impact work: Create standout assets across digital and print, such as landing pages, ads, decks, one-pagers, social content, trade show environments, and swag, from concept through final production.
  • Lead and coach the team: Guide designers and freelancers, give clear and constructive feedback, set quality standards, manage priorities and workflow, and help team members grow their craft.
  • Partner across the business: Work with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Content, Sales, and Product Design to turn briefs and business goals into compelling creative, and balance speed with quality as priorities shift.
  • Scale brand consistency: Build reusable templates, design components, and self-serve resources so teams across Stord can produce on-brand work quickly, and review high-visibility work for brand alignment.
  • Connect design to results: Use performance data, feedback, and testing to inform creative decisions, and show how brand work contributes to awareness, engagement, and pipeline.
  • Manage agencies and vendors: Brief, direct, and review work from external creative partners, printers, and production vendors, and manage creative budgets where applicable.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of brand or graphic design experience, including 2+ years leading projects, designers, or creative direction. B2B technology, SaaS, or supply chain and logistics experience is a plus.
  • Brand systems expertise: A track record of building or evolving a brand identity and scalable guidelines that teams actually use.
  • Visual craft: Exceptional typography, layout, color, and composition skills across digital, print, and presentation formats, backed by a strong portfolio.
  • Design tools fluency: Advanced proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), plus experience with Google Slides or PowerPoint for sales and executive decks.
  • Leadership and feedback: Proven ability to coach designers, give actionable critique, and manage creative workflow, intake, and deadlines.
  • Cross-functional communication: Ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders, translate business goals into creative, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product.
  • Project management: Exceptional organization and the ability to develop systems that allow both the team and yourself to do your best work.
  • Fast-paced adaptability: Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

Bonus Points
  • Motion design and video skills (After Effects, Premiere, or similar), and familiarity with Webflow, HubSpot, or other web and marketing platforms.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design tools responsibly to speed up concepting and production while protecting brand quality.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication from a program with a strong branding focus.
  • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS, e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain technology company, or at a brand-focused design agency.
