About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager within Equipment Finance to drive new business and grow existing client relationships. In this role, you will originate, structure, and execute lease and loan financing solutions for commercial clients. You will assess client financials, understand business objectives, and deliver tailored credit solutions while leading moderately complex transactions from underwriting through funding. You will partner closely with coverage, credit, and product teams to move deals forward and resolve client needs. This position is responsible for sourcing new relationships and expanding an existing portfolio, with an expectation to deliver more than $30MM in annual funded volume. You will also contribute to business planning, share market insights with product partners, and support junior team members in a collaborative, results-driven environment.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in sourcing new clients or growing existing relationships in a given product or specialty
  • Understand clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationships
  • Lead moderately complex transactions in partnership with coverage teams for specialty products, including by analyzing potential opportunities, structuring, proposing, and selling tailored financial solutions to clients; lead internal coordination and submit transactions to management or independent risk for approval
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging a solid understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with product management functional partners to provide feedback on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively
  • Contribute to large-scale planning related to a given product or specialty's business objectives
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of secured or specialized lending sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Background in sales and experience in originating new prospective relationships
  • Qualifying and closing a variety of lease and loan financing products with a good command for analyzing financial results
  • Work cooperatively with internal sales and credit team to submit, credit approve, document and fund transactions ranging from $100,000+
  • Work with manager to build a marketing plan to provide coverage for a large geographic area.

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving result
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel 35% or more
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule, current requirements are 4 days in-office.
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
