Superlanet is seeking a Lead Enterprise Data Governance Analyst for our healthcare client in Texas. This is a direct hire opportunity, with preference given to candidates located in Texas; however, remote candidates willing to travel periodically will also be considered.

This role will lead the development and operationalization of enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, stewardship models, and governance councils. The focus is on building foundational governance capabilities, not reporting, analytics, or data engineering.

The successful candidate will partner with clinical, operational, compliance, research, and IT leaders to improve data quality, integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities
Data Governance & Strategy
  • Design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models.
  • Establish data ownership, stewardship programs, governance councils, and accountability structures.
  • Develop governance metrics and promote data literacy and stewardship across the organization.
  • Drive adoption of governance practices through stakeholder engagement and change management.
Data Quality & Compliance
  • Establish standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, and master data management.
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues and improve data consistency and trust.
  • Ensure governance practices align with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit readiness and governance-related compliance initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison for enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Influence stakeholders across clinical, operational, research, compliance, and IT teams.
  • Lead governance projects involving data standards, metadata repositories, governance tools, and stewardship programs.
  • Provide mentorship and subject matter expertise on governance best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Health Information Management, Data Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, healthcare analytics, or enterprise data strategy.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance programs and frameworks.
  • Experience establishing data stewardship models, governance councils, and ownership structures.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, X12, DICOM, ICD, CPT, LOINC, and SNOMED.
  • Experience working with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, or Athena.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements including HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, NIST, and Joint Commission.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications such as CDMP, DGSP, DGIQ, CHDA, or CHPS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or similar governance tools.
  • Experience leading enterprise healthcare data governance or transformation initiatives.


Benefits
Salary based on experience $115,000 - $150,000 +
