About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Network Automation Engineer to modernize and automate the network infrastructure using Ansible, Python, GitHub workflows, and Nautobot. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .
You will lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure automation solutions that drive efficiency, agility, and compliance across enterprise networks. You will make an impact by identifying and remediating gaps in existing network processes through automation and innovation and deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with business objectives. You will maintain automation roadmap and ensure timely project delivery and serve as a technical leader in automation for access and data center environments.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead the development and deployment of automation frameworks using Ansible, Python, and GitHub workflows to manage large-scale network infrastructure
  • Design and maintain High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for automated network solutions
  • Integrate and extend Nautobot for network source-of-truth and automation workflows
  • Develop GitHub Work Flows to accelerate code development and improve engineering efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues using diagnostic and simulation tools
  • Drive lifecycle management of network hardware and software through automated pipelines
  • Perform secure implementation of network changes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards
  • Collaborate and consult with cross-functional teams to align automation initiatives with business goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Infrastructure Automation experience
  • 5 + years of Python scripting and Ansible playbook development experience
  • 3+ years of experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • 5+ years of network technologies experience including Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), IP Telephony (IPT), DNS, DCHP, and IP Address Management (DDI), and Wide Area Network (WAN) interconnects
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies
  • Experience with Nautobot or similar network automation platforms
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Certification in Automation or Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
