Basic Function

As a Lead Product Manager for Wolters Kluwer, you’ll own a strategically important component of the Professional Audit workflow, a critical SaaS platform within the CCH Tax & Accounting portfolio. You won’t just define features; you’ll be accountable for driving the product success end-to-end.

This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, adeptly balancing multiple priorities, and making high-impact decisions even when information is incomplete. You’ll operate with a strong sense of ownership, combining product judgment, analytical rigor, and business acumen to drive meaningful outcomes.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Lead one or more offerings from 0-1 and beyond.
  • Own the roadmap, long-term vision, and priorities for your team’s focus area.
  • Establish clear definitions of success and drive initiatives toward measurable business and customer outcomes.
  • Make informed, timely, thoughtful tradeoffs to balance speed, quality, and long-term strategic value.

Execution & Delivery

  • Translate strategy into clear requirements, specs, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design to ship high-quality product enhancements.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous workstreams, deadlines and navigating competing priorities while staying focused on what drives the greatest impact.

Discovery & Decision-Making

  • Deeply understand product performance through quantitative metrics and qualitative insights.
  • Partner closely with design and research to deeply understand user problems, test assumptions early, and iterate toward elegant solutions
  • Identify leading indicators, diagnose emerging issues, and guide decisions through data-informed analysis.

Business & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Apply a strong business mindset to decisions, understanding how Wolters Kluwer drives growth and revenue objectives.
  • Partner with Go-To-Market stakeholders to enable successful outcomes and customer adoption. 
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-function teams, articulating priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and impact.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex initiatives, guiding teams towards best practices and innovative solutions.

AI-First Product Development

  • Identify and champion opportunities where AI can unlock improvements in user experience and efficiency, or workflow quality.
  • Partner with Engineering to design and deliver responsible, effective, AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Maintain a high level of curiosity about emerging AI technologies and how they can be applied to audit.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience

Computer Science or Software Engineering Degree preferred.

Experience: 8+ years of Product Management and/or Founder experience, ideally in an early-stage or fast-scaling startup. 

  • Domain experience in Audit, Tax and Accounting or Regulated Industries preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to own and scale a B2B product or product area with business impact.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think like an owner.
  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for understanding real-world workflows and pain points.
  •  Strong intuition for the capabilities and limitations of LLMs and AI in general. This can be from hands-on experience with AI-powered tools, previous work experience, or educational coursework.

Travel requirements

25% domestic, occasional international

Compensation:

$107,500.00 - $188,400.00 USD
This role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location. Your recruiter can share more information about the specific offer for the job location during the hiring process.
