BAE Systems is looking for a Lead Program Manager to join our team in supporting the Mk21 Fuze Modernization Program as required by the warfighter, Air Force Global Strike Command. The Program Manager will assist the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) ICBM Fuze Mod Program Office (PO) to coordinate nuclear weapon projects and their associated requirements detailed in Department of Energy (DoE), Department of Defense (DoD), and United States Air Force (USAF) directives. The Program Manager is a multifaceted position that ensures acquisition program milestones and objectives are anticipated, Production tasks are properly managed and analyzed, and program related tasks are properly coordinated. This position will provide engineering and integration oversight, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness and assist the government in planning and development activities for this large acquisition program.
Responsibilities include:
  • Direct support to the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC)ICBM Directorate Fuze Modernization Materiel Leader in coordinating projects and their associated requirements detailed in United States Air Force (USAF) requirements, directives and instructions.
  • Responsible for tasks and accountable to the government for technical quality, content, and results of all projects.
  • Providing weapon system expertise in conducting integrated engineering-level assessments of analysis, production, verification, validation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution processes as part of the program life-cycle maturation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks or deficiencies related to design, production, and program execution that could impact the Program.

Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status. This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to the special-access classified working environment and is not conducive to regular "telework" or remote schedules.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10 years professional experience; 5 of those years with direct people-management responsibility.
  • Must have experience with DoD or DOE program acquisition.
  • Previous technical management as well as ethics, safety and security experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Proven experience supporting financial, schedule, technical, and business performance objectives.
  • Self-directed; works independently, familiar with Air Force and Government processes.
  • Well organized; drives task to closure.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
