Lead QA EngineerWhy You’ll Love This NUE Opportunity!
At Nue.io, we're on a mission to revolutionize revenue operations for modern businesses. We’re looking for a Lead QA Engineer who’s passionate about building and scaling systems that drive meaningful business outcomes.
As the Lead QA Engineer, you will own the end-to-end quality across planning, execution, automation, and release readiness. You will lead by influence, set the bar for engineering excellence, and partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to deliver reliable, secure, and performant releases in a rapid delivery environment.
You will champion an automation-first approach while balancing pragmatic manual exploratory testing, and you will drive executive-level coverage reporting and quality insights that inform roadmap and release decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the product-wide test strategy across functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and security-adjacent testing, acting as the quality owner for critical domains.
  • Establish and maintain robust test automation frameworks and pipelines using AI-native or AI-enabled tooling like mabl
  • Champion API testing for backend and service layers using Postman/Newman, Bruno; drive contract and integration testing across services.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD quality gates and test execution within GitLab for reliable, repeatable releases.
  • Build practices for test data management, environment readiness, and mocking/stubbing to reduce flakiness and accelerate feedback loops.
  • Own high-signal, executive-ready coverage reporting and quality dashboards: unit and component coverage (statement/branch), UI/API suite coverage, risk-coverage by epic/feature, flakiness, defect escape rate, MTTD/MTTR, and release readiness indicators.
  • Drive end-to-end coverage for quote-to-cash scenarios including product catalog, pricing/bundling, quoting, subscriptions, billing, collections, and downstream financial impacts; align sandbox/test environments to production-like conditions for realistic validation.
  • Run effective bug triage and root-cause analysis with engineering; improve defect taxonomy, prioritization, and closure SLAs, and own quality sign-off for releases and hotfixes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Relentlessly leverage AI tooling to 10x efficiency — use generative AI for rapid test creation, data synthesis, log triage, flake diagnosis, and pipeline insights; turn hours into minutes and minutes into seconds with automation-first thinking.
  • 8+ years in Quality Assurance for SaaS or enterprise software, with proven success driving outcomes across complex systems at a lead level.
  • Demonstrated expertise building scalable UI and API automation, with strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern language and testing framework.
  • Success integrating automated test suites into CI/CD, optimizing quality gates, and improving signal-to-noise in pipelines.
  • Deep domain understanding across RevOps processes and data flows, including quote-to-cash and downstream financial impacts.
  • Proficiency with SQL, test data strategies, and debugging across distributed services, backed by strong customer empathy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including executive-ready reporting and decision support.
Preferred Skills
  • Salesforce certifications and experience
  • Experience configuring and scaling mabl (cloud execution, parallelization, environment variables, data-driven tests, CI integration).
  • Exposure to performance testing and observability-driven quality insights.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks in SaaS environments.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is CA$160,000 – CA$180,000 per year.
