Job Summary

Lead with vision: Guide major roadway and surface transportation projects with senior-level insight and technical expertise.
Deliver excellence: Oversee delivery of complex roadway projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Grow the business: Identify and secure new opportunities, focusing on Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), King County Metro, and other public agencies in the Pacific Northwest.
Build relationships: Develop trusted, long-term partnerships with clients, agencies, and teaming partners across Washington, Oregon, and the broader Pacific Northwest region.
Drive strategy: Collaborate with regional and sector leadership to align business development efforts with broader strategic goals.
Win work: Lead or support compelling proposals and presentations that highlight innovation, expertise, and a client-first mindset.
Inspire talent: Mentor and support junior and mid-level staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Degree & Licensure: Bachelor’s in civil engineering and active Washington State PE license (or ability to obtain one).

  • Proven experience: 12+ years managing and delivering roadway projects, especially with WSDOT, City of Seattle SDOT, King County Metro, and other regional agencies.

  • Technical know-how: Deep familiarity with Washington State design manuals, standards, and project development processes.

  • Delivery expertise: Experience with both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methods preferred.

  • Client-focused leadership: Strong communication, relationship-building, and client engagement skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

  • Integrity & collaboration: Team-oriented leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and models integrity in all decisions.


 

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $150,000 - $225,000 annually for this position and local market.
