About Teza

Teza is a quantitative investment management firm that combines scientific research, advanced technology, and systematic trading. Our international team of researchers, engineers, and investment professionals works across multiple markets and asset classes.

We operate in a highly analytical, collaborative environment where intellectual curiosity, individual ownership, and attention to detail are fundamental to how we work.

Location: Austin, TX (preferred) or London, UK

About the role

We are looking for an exceptionally organized, proactive, and detail-oriented professional to support our senior leadership and coordinate the firm's legal, compliance, and corporate governance activities.

This is a hands-on role combining executive support with ownership of important administrative and operational processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the CRO, CCO, and COO, ensuring that regulatory obligations, legal matters, governance documentation, and executive priorities are managed efficiently and reliably.

We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex processes, anticipates what needs to be done, translates problems into solutions and takes pride in making things run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Corporate Governance

  • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for external legal counsel and corporate service providers.

  • Coordinate corporate governance activities across the firm's entities and jurisdictions, including board meetings, resolutions, corporate records, and required documentation.

  • Manage the administrative aspects of legal matters, including contract tracking, renewals, execution, and document management.

  • Track legal and corporate deadlines and coordinate follow-ups with internal teams and external advisers.

Compliance Operations

  • Maintain and coordinate the firm's compliance calendar, including regulatory filing deadlines, recurring obligations, and internal reviews.

  • Organize and collect documentation required for regulatory filings, compliance reviews, audits, and examinations.

  • Coordinate with external compliance advisers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of compliance-related tasks.

  • Maintain accurate compliance records, policies, certifications, and supporting documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring compliance processes.

Risk Management Support

  • Coordinate Risk Committee meetings, including scheduling, agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.

  • Assist the CRO with the preparation and organization of risk reports, presentations, and management materials.

  • Track action items and ensure appropriate documentation of risk governance activities.

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Provide executive and administrative support to the CRO, CCO, and COO, including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence, and preparation of materials.

  • Manage competing priorities, anticipate deadlines, and proactively follow up on outstanding matters.

  • Coordinate communication between senior leadership, internal teams, and external advisers.

  • Maintain organized systems for tracking responsibilities, documentation, and key deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in executive support, legal administration, compliance operations, corporate governance, or a related field.

  • Experience in financial services, investment management, law firms, or professional services is strongly preferred.

  • A law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional correspondence and executive materials.

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow through without constant supervision.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern productivity tools; interest in using technology and AI to improve workflows is a plus.

What We're Looking For

Above all, we value reliability, judgment, and a strong sense of ownership.

The right person is someone who:

  • Anticipates needs rather than waits for instructions.

  • Enjoys organizing complex processes and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Is comfortable working directly with senior executives and external professionals.

  • Is an effective and efficient communicator

  • Takes pride in accuracy, responsiveness, and consistently high-quality work.

  • Approaches administrative and operational responsibilities as a meaningful, long-term career.

  • Turns problems into options and a recommendation

  • Approaches the day (and the week) as a set of tasks to be completed rather than a fixed number of hours

  • Is intellectually curious, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, analytical environment.

Why Teza
