The Opportunity:


This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join our collaborative in-house legal team and be an important contributor to our organization's continued growth and expansion across the globe. You will have the opportunity to grow your career by working on a host of international and domestic matters.


We are looking for a lawyer with a love of learning who enjoys digging into new areas of law, partnering with business teams in various jurisdictions, and developing and implementing creative and practical legal solutions. If you're a go-getter who's not afraid to roll up your sleeves and drive results on whatever may come your way, this is the role for you. Your experience may influence the work you are assigned, but you are looking to expand your expertise.


The Day-to-Day:


  • Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globally
  • Conduct legal analysis of complex topics and translating this analysis into practical and succinct legal advice
  • Participate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, which may include implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirements
  • Launch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing)
  • Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, which may include commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, business guidelines
  • Handle corporate law and commercial matters
  • Handle employment law and litigation matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts
  • Coordinate with external counsel on various matters
  • Train and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other matters

Your Qualifications:


  • Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar
  • 6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firm
  • Skill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, and factoring in the bigger picture, strategic goals
  • Familiarity with international investment management, employment or privacy laws in various jurisdictions will be beneficial, but not mandatory
