Job Summary


Courtyard is seeking a Live Operations Marketing Manager to own and scale our live services program. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing Courtyard’s live on-platform events and thematic product launches, which serve as the primary engine for engagement, retention and revenue across the platform. 


Similar to Live Ops roles at leading mobile gaming companies, you will manage the operational cadence of in-platform events, ensuring launches are well-scoped, properly planned and executed seamlessly across teams. 


You will partner closely with Inventory & sourcing, Products, Engineering, Creative, Growth and Data to bring new product experiences to life, from weekly content drops  and seasonal moments to major category launches. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and strong cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys orchestrating complex launches that bring exciting new experiences to customers. 


What You’ll Do 


Own the Live Operations Program

  • Lead the planning and execution of Courtyard’s LiveOps calendar, including thematic packs, seasonal launches and weekly platform event quests. 
  • Ensure a consistent cadence of engaging in-platform experiences that drive engagement, retention and GMV growth. 
  • Manage the operating rhythm for LiveOps, including planning cycles, launch readiness reviews, risk assessments and post launch retrospectives. 
  • Own the launch process, this includes setting up the events on platform, asset uploads and ensuring set up is bulletproof to go live. 
  • Monitor competitor launches, events and industry trends. 
  • Bring new ideas and inspiration for thematic pack releases, tooling improvements and promotional moments that keep the platform fresh. 


Drive In-Platform Event Planning & Execution

  • Translate LiveOps strategy into clear scope, timelines and dependencies so cross-functional teams can execute predictably. 
  • Own launch readiness across teams by maintaining checklists, quality gates and execution timelines. 
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Creatives, Product Marketing, Inventory, and Data teams to ensure new events and experiences launch smoothly across web and mobile. 
  • Manage real-time operational issues and maintain calm execution during high-stake launches. 


Build Scalable Live Ops Systems

  • Work closely with the Inventory & Sourcing team to align on supply, pricing and product mix for upcoming launches. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to align UA, CRM, Social and Community activations around key live moments. 
  • Partner with the Creative Services team to ensure all event visuals, assets are delivered on time. 


Measure Performance & Optimize

  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to evaluate event performance across GMV, revenue, engagement, retention and conversion metrics. 
  • Identify insights from event performance and recommend improvements to future launches. 
  • Run experiments and A/B tests to improve on-platform event performance and customer  engagement. 


What You’ll Bring 

  • 6+ years of experience in Live Operations / live services in gaming, consumer apps or marketplaces. 
  • Strong understanding of live service mechanics and how in-platform events drive engagement and monetization. 
  • Proven ability to plan and execute complex launches across multiple teams. 
  • Highly organized with strong operational discipline and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to evaluate event performance. 
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally with Product, Growth Marketing, CRM, Creatives, Engineering, Finance and Data teams. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong proficiency in excel spreadsheets, dashboard toolings such as Looker / Tableau and operational planning tools. 
  • Background in mobile gaming, live service products or marketplace platforms strongly preferred.
