Zayo is seeking a Managed Services Overlay Sales Director, a seasoned sales leader, to drive growth across our managed services portfolio within the enterprise segment. Our Managed Services Overlay Sales Director partners closely with the core sales team to accelerate revenue, expand market share, and elevate sales effectiveness. This leader will recruit, coach, and empower a team of overlay specialists to deliver against aggressive growth targets.
Location: This remote work position will consider applicants based in the continental United States.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead a high-performing team of managed services overlay specialists.
Provide coaching, training, and performance management to drive results.
Set clear goals and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute demand-generation strategies to grow managed services pipeline.
Align with core sales leadership on campaigns, targets, and execution plans.
Use data-driven insights to optimize pipeline, forecast performance, and refine tactics.
Solution Expertise & Customer Engagement
Serve as SME across managed services, including edge, communications, and security.
Support complex sales cycles with tailored solutions and executive-level presentations.
Build trusted relationships with customers and strategic partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product, marketing, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure alignment.
Oversee smooth transitions from sale to implementation.
Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline visibility via CRM tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of eight (8) years in managed IT services or related tech sales.
Minimum of three (3) years in sales leadership.
Proven success in consultative selling and complex deal negotiation.
Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity.
Excellent communication and executive presence.
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Estimated Base Salary Range: $160,100 - $210,000 USD/annually. This role is eligible for participation in the sales commission plan.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
