We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, high-energy leadership style. In this role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial reports are accurate and delivered on time, and help keep us compliant with accounting standards and company policies. You’ll lead the monthly close process, support and develop the accounting team, collaborate with partners across the business, and play a key role in audits and ongoing process improvements.
In This Role
Financial Close & Reporting
- Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Analyze variances in financial statements and provide reporting to leadership
- Support internal and external financial reporting needs
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants to deliver results aligned with Four Hands' strategic objectives
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, encouraging idea sharing and best practices
- Foster individual growth and skill enhancement through regular feedback, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Monitor progress towards goals through regular check-ins and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to analyze performance outcomes, identify areas for enhancement, and propose innovative solutions
- Foster a culture of trust, teamwork, and collaboration, promoting continuous improvement and employee engagement
Accounting Operations
- Oversee core accounting areas such as:
- General ledger
- Revenue and expense accounting
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Accruals and prepaids
- Ensure strong reconciliation and documentation standards
Controls, Policies & Compliance
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are designed and operating effectively
- Support internal and external audits; respond to audit requests
- Assist with implementation of new accounting standards
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements (in coordination with tax accountants)
Systems & Process Improvement
- Act as a key user for accounting systems and ERPs
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Assist with system implementations or upgrades
- Improve close efficiency and data accuracy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across departments
- Support budgeting and forecasting with actuals and insights
- Provide accounting guidance

The Ideal Person
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Actively looks for ways to add value to the organization
- Hands-on experience with month-end close
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., D365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills
