The Manager of AI Literacy & Adoption is a hands-on educator and change leader responsible for accelerating the Association’s mission through the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence. Reporting to the Sr. Director of AI + Digital Transformation, this role serves as the lead architect for organizational AI fluency—ensuring our workforce is equipped with the right tools, the confidence to use them, and a clear line of sight between AI-driven efficiency and mission impact.

You will be a bridge-builder between our AI strategy, our technology infrastructure, and our mission-driven staff. Your job is to make AI approachable, demonstrate its value, and ensure that every hour of efficiency gained is an hour returned to care, support, and the search for a cure.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AI Literacy Strategy & Curriculum Design: Design and implement a multi-tiered, role-specific learning program that builds AI competence across the entire Association. Develop self-paced digital learning paths, live virtual workshops, and peer coaching sessions that cultivate a “try-first” culture of experimentation.
  • Behavioral Adoption & Change Management: Apply behavioral science principles to address resistance, build psychological safety, and accelerate technology adoption. Develop intervention strategies and choice architecture that move staff from awareness to confident, habitual use of AI tools.
  • AI Enablement & Technical Coaching: Serve as an internal subject matter expert on enterprise AI platforms and emerging agentic workflows. Help teams move beyond basic prompting to deploy sophisticated, reusable AI-powered practices that streamline complex administrative and mission-related tasks.
  • Executive Communication & Advocacy: Partner with AI Steering Committee to build internal momentum for AI adoption. Draft leader toolkits, talking points, and impact reports that translate technical ROI into human-centric success stories for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with field offices, development teams, IT, HR (specifically L&D) information security to identify where AI can amplify grassroots organizing, fundraising, research support, and operational efficiency. Turn localized wins into scalable national best practices.
  • AI Champion Network: Identify, train, and mentor a network of AI Champions across departments. Facilitate a Community of Practice where power users share workflows, troubleshoot issues, and drive peer-to-peer learning at scale.
  • Measurement & Value Realization: Define and track key metrics related to AI literacy, adoption sentiment, and tool utilization. Deliver data-driven insights to leadership on the health and trajectory of AI adoption across the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Communications, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in organizational change management, digital transformation, or professional development within a large, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, or similar)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, mission-aligned language
  • Deep understanding of human-technology interaction and behavioral change principles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Learning Science, or a related field
  • Proven ability in advanced prompt engineering with an understanding of agentic AI workflows and their practical application
  • Prior experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in grassroots movements, fundraising operations, or large-scale volunteer mobilization
  • Experience building Communities of Practice or peer learning networks
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and digital education platforms
  • Certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter)
  • Experience partnering with IT and information security teams on enterprise technology rollouts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Storytelling & Influence: Ability to make complex technology feel accessible and inspiring to audiences at every level of the organization
  • Behavioral Insight: Understanding of how people respond to workplace technology change, including strategies for building trust and reducing friction
  • Technical Fluency: Comfort navigating enterprise AI platforms, evaluating new tools, and translating technical capabilities into business use cases
  • Facilitation: Skilled at leading workshops, coaching sessions, and group learning experiences for diverse audiences, both virtual and in-person

PHYSICAL & PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability for training sessions across time zones
  • Travel up to 15% for national summits, regional training events, or site visits
  • Ability to facilitate virtual and in-person workshops for groups of 20–100+ participants

Position Grade & Compensation: Grade 509 The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $90,000-$120,000
