The Impact of Manager, Delivery Operations at Coupa:
We are looking for a high integrity, execution-focused Manager of Delivery Operations to lead the functional team powering our professional services engine. In this role, you will lead the Resource Management Office and the Project Administration team. Your mission is to drive the operational rigor and process enforcement to optimize consultant utilization and ensure revenue predictability. You will manage the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash lifecycle, from initial setup through to final project close out - ensuring it is frictionless, accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.
What You'll Do:
- Revenue & Compliance Assurance: Act as the primary gatekeeper for the quote-to-cash flow. You will oversee project set up and administration to drive rigorous accuracy in project set up, bill rates and milestones, eliminating downstream financial friction and revenue leakage.
- Utilization optimization: Lead the Project Administration and RMO teams to ensure every billable resource is deployed with precision and speed. You will establish and enforce standard operating procedures for all staffing requests, identifying and resolving ‘bench’ time and under-utilization before they impact the P&L.
- Project lifecycle rigor: Own the integrity of the PSA/ERP system. You will implement strict audit cycles for time-entry and expense tracking to ensure all work performed is captured, approved, and invoice ready without manual intervention.
- Operational Process Ownership: Eliminate ad-hoc workflows by designing and maintaining a definitive Delivery Operations playbook. You will hold delivery leaders accountable to operational deadlines, including project hygiene, timecard compliance, and project closures.
- Performance Reporting: Partner with the reporting team to define and own the delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational metrics focused on utilization, timecard compliance, and project delivery status. You will be the steward of project and consultant utilization accuracy for the business.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Professional Services Operations, Resource Management, or a PMO environment with a focus on operational scale and discipline.
- Proven Leadership: experience managing and developing administrative or operational specialists in a growing environment.
- Systems Mastery: proven experience in enterprise PSA platforms (eg NetSuite Suite, ProjectsPro, Certinia, Rocketlane)
- Capacity Forecasting: ability to translate project pipelines into resource demand models, to ensure optimal resourcing management
- Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of revenue recognition, margin analysis, and the mechanics of a billable services organization.
