About The Team

The Revenue Org at Life360 focuses on three important pillars of our product’s success: revenue growth opportunities, our new ads business, and globalization of Life360. We leverage rapid experimentation and cutting-edge technologies to continually increase Life360’s value proposition to our members. 

Our teams own critical member-facing features such as authentication, onboarding, SOS, crash detection, and roadside assistance features, the latter of which help protect millions of families every day.

You will actively contribute and help lead the newly formed Revenue Machine Learning team which sits at the intersection of Product, Data Science, and Engineering. Our charter is to unlock step-function growth in users, subscribers, and revenue by building shared AI/ML capabilities — including but not limited to experimentation and automation tools, generative AI models, predictive-model APIs, and self-serve tooling—that accelerate decision-making, experimentation and automation across multiple product teams. You’ll partner closely with Data Scientists and Analysts in the Growth organization to turn data and models into delightful, effective experiences at scale, and to empower each team to leverage AI/ML in the most effective way to drive user and revenue growth. You will manage a full stack team of engineers spanning from cloud, mobile, and machine learning. 

About the Job

Life360's ambitious goals are to hit $1 billion in revenue and 150M monthly active users by 2028. To achieve these goals, we are laser-focused on our hypothesis-driven experimentation approach to feature development. We build mobile experiences by testing first, iterating, then rolling out incrementally, all while measuring impact along the way. 

This role combines deep product engineering leadership with an experimentation and global-first mindset. You’ll design and build machine learning, mobile and cloud infrastructure. This role is a good fit for anyone who wants to showcase their leadership skills and learn how to lead a team. 

Your technical and organizational leadership will directly shape how families interact with the app worldwide and help Life360 grow to be the #1 brand that improves everyday family life.

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $167,000 to $245,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is $194,000 to $227,000 CAD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do
  • Attract, grow, and promote top engineers
  • Manage cross-functional teams of Android, iOS, Cloud, Machine Learning Engineers
  • Oversee prioritization, definition, planning, and execution of projects for your direct reports and cross functional members of the team 
  • Set ambitious objectives and key results, grounded in practical execution
  • Drive strategy and execution for recommendation system and real time inference platform while building frameworks that enable company-wide contributions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior engineers, product managers, and technical leaders, to align the team’s efforts with organizational goals.
  • Work with stakeholders and leaders to ensure effective execution and communication
  • Effectively manage dependencies across multiple teams and organizations, influencing priorities to deliver aligned platform outcomes
  • Mentor or manage other people leaders
  • Build further upon a culture of technical and management excellence
  • Oversee many projects and bring a product first mindset 
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven track record building polished, high-quality consumer-facing mobile applications at scale
  • Experience shipping frameworks that enable other teams to contribute seamlessly
  • Ability to blend technical design with product thinking, collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to prioritize member value and deliver cohesive experiences
  • Experience using metrics to guide iteration, with a background in personalization or intelligent systems that enhance user-facing features
  • Strong leadership skills in building efficient, self-motivated teams that focus on outcomes and impact
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in mobile, cloud, and data science technologies
  • 3+ years of engineering management (multiple teams) and 7+ years of hands-on software development
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with proven ability to lead in a remote-first environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field—or equivalent industry experience
