Mastercard Developers is building the most developer-friendly platform in the payments and financial services industry. As our API portfolio grows, so does the need for clear, compelling content that helps developers find, understand, and adopt our products with minimal friction. We're looking for a content creator and enablement specialist who can translate complex API capabilities into tutorials, guides, videos, and training that accelerate developer onboarding and drive adoption across our platform.
In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of developer marketing, technical writing, and education, creating content that serves both external developers and internal product teams. As part of the Developer Experience (DX) team, you'll help shape how Mastercard shows up in the developer ecosystem, from SEO-optimized guides to hands-on workshops. The right person brings a strong content creation muscle, a genuine curiosity about APIs and developer tools, and the ability to make technical concepts accessible to a range of audiences.
Responsibilities
- Create developer-facing content, including tutorials, integration guides, blog posts, and videos, that drives awareness and adoption of Mastercard APIs
- Develop and deliver training programs for internal product teams covering API positioning, developer portal standards, and content best practices
- Support developer advocacy through workshops, webinars, and community engagement activities
- Partner with the Marketing team on content strategy, competitive visibility, and optimization for search and AI-driven discovery channels
- Translate complex technical products into clear, value-driven messaging for developer audiences
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align content initiatives with product launches and roadmap priorities
- Track content performance using data and metrics to measure impact and inform improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience creating content for developer or technical audiences (tutorials, documentation, blog posts, or video)
- Background in developer relations, technical writing, or developer marketing
- Experience presenting and delivering training sessions for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to build basic prototypes, sample apps, or code demos to support developer content and enablement
- Familiarity with API products, developer ecosystems, and developer tooling workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make complex topics accessible
- Experience using data and analytics to measure content effectiveness
- SEO or Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) awareness is a plus but not required
