As a Managing Technical Architect, you will oversee the engineering team with the delivery of projects, ensuring engineers are technically prepared and that services are completed fully and efficiently, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Your Impact

The essential functions of this position include:

LEADERSHIP FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead a diversified team of talented consultants so that they are well supported and can reach their full potential
  • Maintain relationships with clients and ensure they are completely satisfied throughout all phases of the engagement
  • Contribute to the team’s growth and development
  • Participate in creating and delivering training programs
  • Assist in building and hiring professional services team, within assigned region
  • Work with Services Leadership to set training goals for each member of team
  • Manage technical development and team satisfaction of employees
  • Manage monthly internal training workshops for employees
  • Manage Quality Assurance (QA) of all team projects

ARCHITECT FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform Pre-Sales Engineering tasks including BOM creation assistance, SOW development along with planning and designing solutions for complex multi-vendor solutions
  • Provide technical oversight and support to engineering team throughout all phases of the engagement
  • Engage various manufacturers and their engineering resources for design assistance and lab access
  • Develop expertise and skills that align with client technologies and support them to achieve their business outcomes
  • Build and maintain manufacturer/vendor relationships
  • Serve as an escalation point for Engineers and Sr. Engineers, Consultants, Sr. Consultants and Architects
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies
  • Continuing education of relevant certifications that would benefit the role
  • Be available to meet customer IT needs and serve the Customer to ePlus’ standards

  • Lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of hands on experience in IT
  • 5+ years of experience in a Consultant or Architect role
  • Multiple industry-recognized certifications. i.e.: CCIE, VCP, NACP, CISSP
  • Excellent customer service skills on phone and in person
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies:
    • AI/ML
    • Data Modernization
    • Virtualization
    • Storage Area Networks (SAN)
    • Networking
    • Security

Position Specifics

The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $150,000 and $200,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.

ePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
