The Marketing Content Specialist will manage many of Proximity Learning’s social media platforms and execute the social media marketing strategy. In addition, the successful candidate will develop and manage content that spans from blogs, videos, social media posts, emails, flyers and any additional relevant outlets. The candidate will provide PLI with a strategic social media content calendar, monthly comprehensive metrics, and reports to measure and track success. This candidate will have a demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced environment while delivering multiple projects on schedule, on budget, and with no errors. The candidate will be expected to play an active role with daily routines and procedures in our marketing department. They will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 50% Social media
    • Participate in holistic marketing campaigns across social channels 
    • Research and identify target audience preferences and trends to inform content creation and strategy adjustments
    • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in social media marketing
    • Develop and curate engaging, high-quality content, including text, images, videos, and interactive elements, tailored to each social media platform, ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging
    • Create and manage content calendars to ensure a steady stream of content across platforms 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media efforts with other company initiatives
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media channels in a timely and professional manner
    • Foster meaningful interactions with the online community, building a positive brand image and customer relationships
  • 5% Reporting and analytics
    • Critical thinking to pull key takeaways out of analytics data
    • Generate regular reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using social media analytics tools, adjusting strategies as needed for optimal results
    • Manage and optimize various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
  • 20% Video
    • Assist in the video process from ideation, planning, script writing, storyboarding, production, editing, publishing, to distribution
  • 15% D.I.T. Cross-Sell leadflow and email monitoring
    • Qualify leads for cross-sell initiatives and maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders, informing and analyzing impact
  • 10% Flyers, emails, content writing
    • Write monthly newsletters, nurtures, special series, and report on analytics, optimizing based on learnings
    • Flyer copywriting and composition to support company initiatives
    • Write blogs and other long-form content in accordance with needs

Position requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Minimum of 2 years sales/marketing experience.
  3. Experience with professional copywriting and content creation.
  4. Proficient with Google docs, Canva, social media schedulers, ClickUp, HubSpot, Premiere Pro.
  5. Tenacious approach to your work and ability to push through failure until you succeed.
  6. Design (InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Canva etc), SEO (SEMrush, KW research, Ahrefs etc) and proofreading skills are a big plus.
