Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager, MRD is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for NeoGenomics' Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) portfolio, a rapidly evolving and clinically complex area of the business. This role translates portfolio-level priorities into targeted positioning, messaging, go-to-market plans, and launch readiness activities that support market adoption and commercial success. Partnering closely with the Director, Product Marketing, the Marketing Manager helps shape strategy for an emerging category while driving hands-on execution to build market awareness, strengthen customer confidence, and establish NeoGenomics as a leader in the MRD space.

Core Responsibilities

  • Shape MRD strategy in partnership with the Director, ensuring product-level priorities ladder up to and inform the broader portfolio framework
  • Identify the highest-opportunity areas within MRD’s patient populations, indications, and clinical use cases, informing where winnable position and go-to-market investment should concentrate
  • Define a clear winnable position for MRD, informed by VOC, competitive intelligence, and portfolio expertise, and ensure it’s consistently reflected in positioning, messaging, and content
  • Educate the market on MRD as a category, not just NeoGenomics’ specific offering, partnering with the Content and Thought Leadership Manager to translate emerging science into content that builds broader category understanding
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs across MRD marketing initiatives, tracking performance to ensure the work is having its intended impact
  • Execute marketing across MRD’s full lifecycle, from launch through market maturity, protecting, growing, and expanding share as appropriate to each stage, partnering with Commercial Launch Excellence on launch-specific readiness
  • Write and produce core MRD marketing content and materials directly, partnering with Digital, Content, and Creative resources for broader execution needs
  • Collect voice-of-customer insights for MRD, feeding both portfolio strategy and roadmap conversations with Product Management
  • Track competitive intelligence specific to MRD, feeding the Director’s portfolio-wide competitive picture
  • Build the AOP budget request for MRD based on the strategic plan, then manage and reallocate spend within the approved allocation based on performance
  • Partner with the Oncology, Pathology, and Pharma Commercial Marketing Directors to ensure MRD’s product story translates into audience-specific narratives

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive product marketing experience in healthcare, life sciences, or diagnostics
  • Comfortable shaping strategic input for a portfolio while also executing the resulting plan personally
  • Track record of defining a clear, defensible market position for a product or product family, translating VOC and competitive intelligence into strategy
  • Comfortable setting objectives and KPIs, and using performance data to adjust course
  • Experience managing a product through its full lifecycle, from launch through market maturity
  • Strong writer, comfortable producing core content while directing supporting execution through Digital, Content, and Creative partners
  • Experience with voice-of-customer collection and applying insights to strategy
  • Comfortable managing a budget, tracking spend and reallocating based on performance
  • Experience or strong comfort operating in an emerging, still-developing category, comfortable building market understanding rather than working on an established one
