About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Manager as part of the Specialized Industry - Commodity Finance group in the Commercial Bank. The client portfolio is primarily comprised of commodity traders and marketers in the Energy/Ag/Metals space throughout the United States. This is a junior underwriting role supporting credit portfolio management to meet the long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance for commercial banking clients. In this role, you will:
  • Participate in Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management assignments; identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area
  • Review and analyze complex business, operational and technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management function including policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Mid Corporate Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, internal stakeholders as well as internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of credit underwriting experience
  • Proven advanced analytical skills in performing in depth financial statement review
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including using Excel for financial analysis and projection modeling
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills while working in a high paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with experience effectively working and communicating with partners both in person and remotely
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
