ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and enhance Java/Scala-based REST APIs based on technical designs and business requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and implement functionality improvements.
- Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern development frameworks and tools.
- Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support application deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
- Strong experience with Java and REST API development.
- Experience with JavaScript and modern web application development practices.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful services.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience working in AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting CMS, Federal Government, or healthcare systems.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
