Job Description

Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals through Outside Sales and Other Activities. Contributes to the profitability and growth of Home Lending products by building, developing, and managing new and existing relationships with COI, clients and prospects. Consults with clients and prospects to understand home lending and business goals. Identifies and promotes U.S. Bancorp products and services to best meet those needs.

Essential Functions

Outside Sales Activity (More than 80% of time spent on these functions):

Builds, develops, and maintains profitable lending and deposit relationships with new and existing COIs and clients. Consults with clients and prospects at their places of business in order to understand their current business practices and identify their institutional home lending needs and financial goals. Develops and promotes U.S. Bancorp products and services to best meet the business and personal needs of the customers and the Bank.

 Contributes to the growth of a profitable loan portfolio through establishing relationships and generating leads.

Proactively deepens COI/client relationships by meeting their needs through additional products and services. Actively refers clients to other U.S. Bancorp areas for additional needs.

Represents the bank at various civic and community functions to further enhance U.S. Bank’s image and develop additional business opportunities and centers of influence.

Partners with Consumer Direct MLO to develop, communicate and implement the sales strategy in order to meet/exceed business objectives, and exchange leads/referrals. Conducts joint outside sales calls with bank partners at prospects’ or customers’ places of business.

Other Activity (Less than 20% of time spent on these functions):

Develops and manages custom sales and marketing plans; sales activities; and tailors approach and products promoted to best fit each client’s unique situation.

Refers clients to branch members and /or other U.S. Bank support members for ongoing account maintenance of the overall customer relationship.

Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.

Locations: Tucson, AZ Pittsburgh, PA and Raleigh Durham, NC

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

-Experience in mortgage lending, relationship banking, or related sales role
-Demonstrated success in outside sales, business development, and relationship management
-Experience developing and managing relationships with clients and Centers of Influence (COIs)
-Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to assess client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions; Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and building a profitable pipeline
-Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, home lending processes, and market trends

Preferred Qualifications:

-Mortgage loan origination, outside sales, or related banking/sales experience with demonstrated production results

-Active participation in community or industry organizations to develop brand presence and drive new business opportunities
-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust
-Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple sales activities and deadlines
-Experience developing and executing customized sales and marketing plans based on client needs

-Ability to consult with clients to assess financial needs and recommend tailored home lending solutions
-Proven ability to generate self-sourced business and maintain a consistent pipeline through prospecting and referrals
-Experience partnering cross-functionally to exchange referrals and deepen client relationships across business lines

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
