ABOUT NAPAWF

The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) is the only community organizing and policy advocacy organization for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women and girls in the United States.

Founded in 1996 by 100 AANHPI women, NAPAWF (pronounced “NAP-off”) was created to build a multilingual, multigenerational movement to reflect the diversity of AANHPI communities and amplify their stories and experiences.

Thirty years later, NAPAWF continues its mission through mobilization and power building, focusing on three core, interconnected issues that impact AANHPI women and girls:

  • Reproductive Rights and Health
  • Economic Justice
  • Immigration and Racial Justice

Employing a reproductive justice framework, NAPAWF uses organizing, advocacy, and communications strategies to impact policy and drive systemic change. NAPAWF is uniquely positioned to connect the national conversation on reproductive justice with AANHPI communities on the ground, with the goal of passing federal policies that expand abortion access and advance healthcare equity for immigrant communities.

All of this work serves NAPAWF’s mission to secure a future where AANHPI women, girls, and gender-expansive people have the power and resources to shape their own lives.

THE OPPORTUNITY

NAPAWF is at a moment of significant growth and opportunity; the organization has expanded its visibility, partnerships, programs, and philanthropic support. With a team of two dozen staff, NAPAWF is a national leader in reproductive rights and is expanding its work to include both c3 and c4 capacity.

NAPAWF is seeking an experienced Chief Development Officer (CDO) to capitalize on the organization’s momentum and build a comprehensive, strategic fundraising program across c3 and c4 entities, ensuring long-term financial health and sustainability for decades to come.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the CDO will strengthen NAPAWF’s fundraising efforts, growing and diversifying revenue streams through major gifts, institutional funding, corporate giving, and digital fundraising. The CDO will establish measurable revenue goals and build fundraising strategies in alignment with broader organizational priorities.

The CDO will assess the current fundraising program and capacity and then build the systems, structure, and team needed to grow revenue and expand donor relationships. This leader will manage and develop a high-performing fundraising staff and collaborate closely with fellow members of the executive leadership team.

The CDO will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors and serve as a compelling ambassador for the organization, inspiring confidence and excitement in NAPAWF’s work with partners and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a proven fundraiser and hands-on leader who is nimble, energetic, and brings a knack for building robust programs, systems, and teams. This leader views development and fundraising as an extension of social justice and will leverage their expertise and creativity to grow a program that has significant untapped potential.

This is an incredible opportunity to play a leadership role in an ambitious organization that centers the voice of AANHPI women and girls and serves as a leader in reproductive rights and the broader intersectional social justice movement.
