Job Summary:

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure across Integris client environments. This role requires deep expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN solutions. The engineer will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet devices across client environments.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Resolve complex network incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in network-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in service transition activities with Professional Services.

Job Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience.
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 4 or higher preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, preferably in a managed services or service provider environment.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco IOS/NX-OS and FortiOS.
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts and service management practices.
  • Experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS environments is a plus.
