Job Summary/Description:  

KOSA/First Alert 7 is looking for an experienced news anchor with a passion for delivering breaking and hard news. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills and experience in covering breaking news and developing unique hard news content. They will be a newsroom leader with a passion for mentoring young journalists. Candidates should be social media- and streaming-minded and be the ultimate team player. Someone who wants to just show up and read the news should NOT apply. (Salary will be based on experience)

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Anchor newscasts, including streaming, as needed
- Develop and report news stories for all platforms
- Participate in daily editorial decisions and long-term strategic newscast initiatives
- Produce elements of newscasts or entire newscasts.
- Work on special projects, as assigned
- Interact with viewers and users on social media sites

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Three years of experience as a newscast anchor/reporter preferred
- Strong hard news reporting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Clean driving record
- Four-year college degree preferred
