Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KDFW FOX 4, the news leader in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, is looking for a high-energy, creative, and detail-oriented Associate Producer to join our award-winning team.

As an Associate Producer, you will work side-by-side with Producers to craft compelling stories, manage breaking news, and ensure our content shines across every platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Write stories and teases; edit video; and create graphics for linear TV, Streaming, and Digital platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Producers to format newscasts and maintain constant communication with other content creators.
  • Digital Integration: Create streaming content with state of art production, coordinating with the digital team to increase audience engagement.
  • Live Execution: Facilitate seamless communication during live broadcasts and streaming coverage. .
  • Problem Solving: Show off your "calm in the storm" mentality by overcoming both anticipated and unexpected changes during fast-paced news cycles.

We are looking for a tech-savvy journalist with solid news judgment and a passion to create and inform.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a TV Newscast Producer (small, medium, or major market experience all considered).
  • Technical Prowess: Strong working knowledge of newsroom computer systems, non-linear editing, and graphics programs. Familiarity with digital/web newsgathering tools is a must.
  • Ethics & Excellence: Deep understanding of the legal and ethical parameters of mass media and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Communication: The ability to write clearly and concisely under tight deadlines while keeping your cool.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $26.44 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
