Role Description

We are seeking a highly collaborative and technically exceptional NOC Platforms & Integration Lead to serve as the chief architect and lifecycle owner of our NOC’s technical ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of CM/NOC Strategy, you will bridge the critical gap between initial engineering designs and day-to-day operational execution.

In this role, you aren’t just keeping the lights on; you are shaping the future of how our network operations hub interacts with its tools. You will partner deeply with our Engineering teams to define architectural blueprints, manage tool integrations, and oversee the release management lifecycle. From API design to staging environment verification, you are the technical anchor ensuring our platform stack is resilient, integrated, and ready to scale.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Architecture & Design Partnership: Partner directly with the Engineering team to define the architectural blueprint and technology roadmap for key NOC tools (such as ServiceNow, Splunk, Netcracker, and custom internal platforms).
  • Testing & Validation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end testing strategy for all new features, tools, and integrations. Build and execute rigorous test plans in non-production environments to validate operational readiness and feasibility before deployment.
  • Operational Integration & Readiness: Oversee the integration of new products and emerging workstreams (such as Commercial services) into the active NOC environment, ensuring seamless, zero-disruption operational readiness as our network evolves.
  • Release & Deployment Management: Drive the release cycle for all NOC-specific tools. Coordinate complex deployment schedules and maintain transparent communications between the Engineering and NOC Operations teams.
  • Post-Production Support & Tier 3 SME: Act as the ultimate Tier 3 Subject Matter Expert and primary technical liaison for platform issues. Troubleshoot complex integration failures and ensure the ongoing health and uptime of the production environment.
  • Vendor & API Management: Direct tool implementations and negotiate functional requirements with third-party vendors. Ensure that vendor capabilities and API integrations align closely with GFiber's overarching business objectives.

At a minimum, we would like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in systems design, tooling architecture, or integration engineering within a NOC, Telecommunications, or Service Assurance environment.
  • Direct experience with scripting languages (such as Python or Go) and designing/consuming modern API integrations (REST, SOAP, gRPC).
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex platform lifecycles, acting as the primary liaison between infrastructure developers and operations end-users.

It’s preferred if you have:

  • 10 years of experience working in a high-scale Telecom, Fiber, or Cable network operations environment.
  • Deep functional and technical proficiency in ServiceNow (specifically Event Management, ITOM, or ITSM modules).
  • Strong background in formal release management frameworks, system testing automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven track record of managing third-party software vendors, negotiating technical requirements, and defining API contracts.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $139,200 - $203,300 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
