Company Overview

Ambiq's mission is to enable intelligence everywhere by delivering the lowest power semiconductor solutions. Ambiq is a pioneer and a leading provider of ultra-low-power semiconductor solutions based on our proprietary and patented sub- and near-threshold technologies. With the increasing power requirements of artificial intelligence (AI) computing, our customers are relying on our solutions to deliver AI to edge environments. Our hardware and software innovations fundamentally deliver a multi-fold improvement in power consumption over traditional semiconductor designs without expensive process geometry scaling. We began in 2010 by addressing the power consumption challenges of battery-powered devices at the edge, where they were most pronounced. As of the beginning of 2025, we've shipped more than 280+ million units worldwide.

Our innovative and fast-moving teams of design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations are spread across several continents, including the US (Austin), Taiwan (Hsinchu), China (Shanghai and Shenzhen), and Singapore. We value relentless technology innovation, a deep commitment to customer success, collaborative problem-solving, and an enthusiastic pursuit of energy efficiency. We embrace candidates who also share these same values. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, creative, and comfortable learning and driving exciting new technologies. We encourage and nurture an environment that fosters growth and opportunities to work on complex, meaningful, and challenging projects, creating a lasting impact and shaping the future of technology. Join us on our quest for enabling billions of intelligent devices. The intelligence everywhere revolution starts here.

We’re looking for an Office Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our Austin office and serve as the face of the workplace experience. This role is both the front door and the operational backbone of our office. You shape how people experience Ambiq every day, from first impressions to daily interactions.

Why This Role Matters Now

The next 18 months will be a particularly exciting time for this role as we transition into a new, larger office to support our growth. You will be at the center of this move, playing a key role in shaping both the day-to-day operations and the overall workplace experience in our new space.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organized Office Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our Austin headquarters. Supporting a team of ~65 employees, this role is central to how our office functions and feels.

You’ll serve as the face of the office, creating a welcoming, polished environment for employees, executives, customers, and visitors. This role blends operations, logistics, and employee experience, ensuring the office runs smoothly while fostering a positive and engaging workplace.

This role reports to the Head of HR and works closely with the broader HR team. While you will have ownership of the Austin office experience, you’ll have strong partnership and support, ensuring you’re set up for success and never operating in a silo.

About the Team

We’re a fast-growing company with over 200 employees, and our Austin office plays a key role in that growth. As part of the HR team, you’ll operate in a highly collaborative, supportive environment where trust, teamwork, and a sense of humor go a long way.

This isn’t a role where you’re on your own. While you’ll take ownership of the Austin office experience, you’ll be backed by a team that partners closely and supports one another across functions. If you enjoy being at the center of things, working with a variety of people, and having a real impact on the day-to-day employee experience, you’ll feel right at home.

You’ll be working alongside a team that values both operational excellence and a positive, engaging workplace:

  • Rick Morales, Head of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning — The Talent Whisperer, with a knack for finding and attracting exceptional talent
  • Gina Barras, Operations Manager — The Systems Sorcerer, bringing order to HR systems, analytics, and reporting so everything runs seamlessly
  • Ally Garza, HR Generalist — The Web Weaver, connecting people, processes, and teams to keep everything working together seamlessly
  • Helen Ng, Regional Leader, APAC — The Global Connector, bridging teams across regions and cultures
  • Mitali Kapadia, HR Business Partner Leader — The Strategic Ally, partnering with leaders to support people and performance

And of course, you — The Office Operator & Experience Champion, taking the lead on the Austin office and bringing it to life each day with both precision and personality.

What You’ll Do

Office Operations & Experience

  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-functioning workspace
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office support and questions
  • Manage reception duties, visitor coordination, and office security/badge access
  • Maintain kitchen, snack program, and overall office upkeep
  • Anticipate the needs of employees and guests, proactively resolving issues before they arise

Events, Culture & Engagement

  • Plan team lunches, events, and employee engagement activities
  • Use the Austin Teams channel as a hub for communication and engagement, sharing updates, highlighting events, and keeping employees connected to what’s happening in the office
  • Help drive a positive, inclusive, and engaging office environment

Facilities & Vendor Management

  • Liaise with property management and oversee office maintenance
  • Manage vendors, suppliers, and service providers, including negotiations
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and office upkeep
  • Support office expansion efforts, including coordination related to our upcoming move

Conference & Workspace Management

  • Manage conference room scheduling and resolve booking conflicts
  • Ensure meeting spaces are consistently organized, functional, and guest-ready

Logistics & IT Coordination

  • Handle shipping and receiving, including international couriers and HQ coordination
  • Partner with IT on onboarding/offboarding and employee support
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in office administration, workplace operations, or similar roles
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in creating exceptional workplace experiences
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and intuitive, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise
  • Warm, professional, and confident in interacting with employees, executives, and external guests
  • Positive attitude and a great sense of humor, with the ability to build rapport and create an enjoyable workplace environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Interest in growing a career in people operations, workplace experience, or business operations is a plus
Additional Details
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, onsite (5 days/week)
  • Compensation: Hourly (non-exempt, eligible for overtime)

**Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. We do not sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas (now or in the future) for this role.
