We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Cisco, Dell, or VMware equipment and will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of our data center. This role involves ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our data center infrastructure. This is an onsite position. The candidate must be able to work 100% onsite at either our Denver, CO or Washington D.C. locations
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices. • Monitor data center operations and ensure optimal performance and uptime. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. • Collaborate with network and system administrators to implement and manage data center infrastructure. • Ensure compliance with data center policies and procedures. • Assist in the planning and execution of data center expansions and upgrades. • Maintain accurate documentation of data center equipment and configurations. • Provide technical support and assistance to other IT staff and end-users as needed. Qualifications: • Must have active Q Clearance • Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role. • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Dell, or VMware equipment. • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking. • Physically able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds of equipment. The team lift system must be utilized for loads • weighing more than 50 pounds • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Dell EMC, VMware VCP) are strongly preferred. Education: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
