Accounting Intern – Operations Accounting
As an Accounting Intern, you will support our Operations Accounting department, which handles the capital and operating costs of our upstream & midstream assets, lease acquisitions, and reserves. You'll gain hands-on energy industry experience, support financial statement close processes, and apply your accounting skills to real-world work.

The Accounting Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform journal entries supporting month-end and ad hoc close activity
  • Perform account reconciliations, validating balances and resolving variances
  • Analyze financial results and identify trends ahead of reporting deadlines
  • Review non-op JIB invoices for accuracy before payment
  • Assist with recording and tracking land and lease activity
  • Assist with LOE & O&M expense reviews against budget
  • Assist with data validation and testing for accounting processes
  • Gain exposure to AI and automation tools that streamline accounting tasks

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Open to all Accounting majors, undergraduate and graduate
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting degree program
  • Must have completed at least sophomore year at an accredited 4-year program prior to the internship start
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Experience with large data sets and BI tools preferred, not required
  • Preference for candidates who reside in EQT's operating areas (Southwestern, PA, WV, OH)

Remote work is being considered for this role, excluding: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
