Flexdrive, a subsidiary of Lyft that offers vehicle access to Lyft drivers through a flexible car rental subscription program, is seeking a passionate, organized, and bold Operations Lead to join our team in Austin. In this role, you will report to the Regional Operations Manager and be responsible for leading a team and overseeing a fleet of vehicles. Your duties will include leading and developing a team of Operations Associates, driving operational excellence, fostering a value-based culture of continuous improvement through deep data analysis and problem-solving to identify performance gaps and delivering on company’s key performance metrics. . At one of our Flexdrive facilities, you and your team will support the community through Lyft's Express Drive program, a key driver of our growth. Lyft drivers are the backbone of our customer-obsessed organization, and your role will be to ensure that every interaction with them has a purpose to serve and connect.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for your market’s business health and strives to deliver on Flexdrive OKRs by frequently analyzing market level data for performance gaps, managing fleet operational costs and process improvement opportunities
  • Lead the team responsible for assisting Lyft drivers through the end-to-end rental process of the Express Drive Program; ensuring all team members are up-to-date on all trainings and processes
  • Foster team member growth and development by conducting regular 1:1 meetings and professional development discussions, while coaching through timely and constructive feedback
  • Drive high utilization metrics by managing the vehicle supply lifecycle across your market, from in-fleeting to maintenance to decommissioning and disposition, and continually reduce out-of-service vehicle time by swiftly resolving escalated vehicle issues when they arise
  • Responsible for talent retention and serve as the hiring manager for your local site and accountable for the onboarding process for new team members 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various vendors and partners, including service providers, collision shops, and internal/external teams, to optimize vehicle quality and turnaround time 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your site’s continued maintenance, security and safety, partnering closely with cross-functional partners as needed to ensure our sites are safe, compliant, and provide a great workplace experience
Experience:
  • Passionate about delivering great customer experiences with a strong track record to back that up
  • 4 years experience managing Retail, customer service, or vehicle rental team  
  •  3+ years managing hard assets in a fleet management business (car rental, FMC, etc) preferred
  • Experience managing vendors and partners
  • Ability to coach and develop team members within your org
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and switch into different modes during the workday/week
  • Lover of dashboards, data, and metrics
  • A valid unrestricted driver's license and satisfactory driving record and be insurable under Lyft's policy required

The expected base pay range for this position in the Austin area is $50,180-$62,730. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Your recruiter can share more information about the salary range specific to your working location and other factors during the hiring process.
