About Mobena

Mobena is the planning system for wealthy families that puts income tax, estate planning and financial planning in one model. An advisor enters a family and everything it owns, owes and does: every trust, entity, partnership interest and asset. The system simulates the family year by year and compares the effects of planning decisions and life events, such as a GRAT, sale of a business, move to a different state or a death. Every result can be followed back to its support, down to the form line.

Mobena's founder and CEO is a tax attorney, CPA and Bloomberg Tax Author of the Year. He created Mobena to solve his own clients' problems.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the COO, you will drive project execution across the business, while acting as a cross-functional utility player to support the broader founding team. This is not an administrative or secretarial role. It is an execution-heavy, high-visibility position designed for a top-tier operator early in their career who wants to see exactly how a high-velocity software company scales from the ground floor.

The product launches commercially in Q1 2027. You will help own and execute the foundational processes that allow our team to run fast and reliably. If you are deeply logical, highly organized, and have a relentless “get-it-done” mentality, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

  • Support SOC 2 Compliance: Act as the primary internal project manager for our SOC 2 compliance build-out. Working closely with the COO and development teams, you will manage compliance timelines, organize required audit evidence, and ensure our workflows meet audit standards.

  • Own Team & Talent Operations: Partner directly with the COO to scale the team. You will build and manage recruiting pipelines, optimize our interviewing loops, and design a world-class onboarding experience for new hires.

  • Document and Scale Playbooks: Help design, implement, and institutionalize the repeatable operational workflows that keep Mobena running smoothly, ensuring alignment across the business as we grow.

  • Coordinate Conferences & External Operations: Lead the end-to-end planning, logistics, and project management for Mobena’s presence at premier industry conferences, summits, and VIP partner events.

  • Act as an Executive Utility Player: Step in across non-technical functions to unblock the operations team, solving friction points before they slow the company down.

What You Bring

  • Professional Experience: Ideally 3 to 5 years in a high-growth tech startup, management consulting, or a structured, fast-paced operational environment. Exceptional candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply.

  • AI & Systems Fluency: You leverage modern AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, or automation workflows) to augment your output, analyze data, and move faster. You have a knack for picking up new SaaS tools quickly and keeping digital tracking systems highly organized.

  • Problem Solving: A history of leaning into intellectual curiosity to unpack complex problems.

  • Elite Execution: Proven ability to build tight, dependable tracking structures and create order out of chaos.

  • High Agency: An ownership mentality where you spot operational friction, propose a clean solution, and execute flawlessly without waiting for a manual.

  • Communication: Clear, persuasive, and professional communication with the internal team, candidates, and external vendors.

What We Care About More Than Years

You don’t need a decade of experience. We care much more that you are sharp, move fast, learn incredibly quickly, and can be trusted to run critical operational projects autonomously. You want to build, and you hold yourself to the outcome rather than the activity.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000 to $99,000 (commensurate with experience).

  • Performance Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary bonus tied to key operational milestones and the Q1 2027 commercial launch.

  • Health Benefits: Health coverage stipend available.

Why This Role

  • Direct Mentorship: You work directly with the COO on the operational decisions that shape the company.

  • High Autonomy, High Impact: You join right before a major commercial launch and get to set the operational playbooks from scratch.

  • A True Growth Path: This role is designed to expand. As the company grows, your scope grows, opening a clear track to scale into a senior leadership role.

You must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not sponsor visas. Mobena is an equal opportunity employer.
