Job Summary:

This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong digital background who is able to comfortably navigate between multiple projects and priorities. The ideal candidate has 12-15+ years of experience with digital media planning, buying with progressive levels of responsibility including team management. The Group Director will lead a Media Planning and Activation Team handling a portfolio of accounts with aggressive new business involvement and goals with plenty of resource and support. The ideal candidate must enjoy “building” teams, capabilities and tools and embrace technology passionately.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team to establish client media strategies from implementation and optimization to measurement.

  • Demonstrate expertise in cross-channel media techniques, concepts, tools and analytics.

  • See and share best practices; strive to improve activation deliverables

  • Confidently integrate new technologies into outputs and recommendations.

  • Serve as team leader.

  • Successfully lead Human Resources, workflow, and capabilities to project needs.

  • Handle and lead through influence in a highly matrixed structure.

  • Partner with client relationship teams in PR/Comms, Performance Marketing, Activation, and Financial leadership to own revenue growth and investment plans.

  • Actively lead/respond to fast-paced business development model at Real Chemistry – weekly, bi-weekly opportunities for scope expansion with deep existing client list and new opportunities across healthcare (pharma/bio-tech, consumer, digital) spectrum.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Solid understanding of media marketplace, especially but not limited to opportunities for healthcare/pharma.

  • Ability to conceptualize, build, and activate media plans & ultimately be responsible for flawless media activation “product” from Real Chemistry on assigned clients.

  • Detailed understanding of the client's business/marketing objectives, how media contributes to the overall business goals of the client.

  • Clear and compelling written skills (email, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Effective listening skills to resolve issues and see opportunities.

  • Proactive and agile; partnership-minded.

  • Operationally and organizationally dazzling.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across multiple responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

  • Values ambitious, consensus-driven and highly collaborative working environment.

  • Consistently handles all interactions in a professional and respectful way and manages partner expectations without alienating either party.

  • Exhibits Integrity and self-awareness.
