The Opportunity:

HomeAway is looking for a bright, high-reaching and experienced person to join our expanding Partner Success Key Account Management team. As a Key Account Manager, you will manage a set of enterprise level accounts and specialize in analyzing metrics using data to coach clients to take action in which higher conversion rates are expected. In addition, you will be a specialist in the implementation and optimization of HomeAway products and use analytical skills to help advertisers grow existing business as well as develop and win new business opportunities. This will be done by reporting performance history and advertising metrics while making recommendations for improvement and advising partners to embrace additional solutions designed to optimize return on investment.

The KAM will be expected to forge and develop tight-knit relationships with Key Accounts, create growth and development target objectives for individual accounts and plan, execute, monitor and report on results with clients and internal partners. Along with handling advanced search and display optimizations, you will be expected to aggressively strategize with the Account Management team to identify other business opportunities. This role carries a direct sales revenue target and will have quotas that are set on key metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead account growth through implementing optimization solutions.
  • Execute effectively based on key performance indicators and metrics (targets, goals and/or strategic objectives) set by leadership and exceed specific targets with Key Accounts partners.
  • Establish performance goals in conjunction with Key Accounts partners, develop action plan, secure commitment, set mutual performance objectives including financial targets and drive achievement to goals.
  • Drive content, rate and availability accuracy and competitiveness on the HomeAway sites to maximize booking conversion.
  • Optimizing online marketing campaigns for our customers, focusing on performance to meet advertiser objectives.
  • Analyze search trends, listing performance and budget suggestions.
  • Develop a keen understanding of tools and gather and analyze data at account level, campaign level and industry level.
  • Create reports to support or aid the optimization/incremental opportunity strategies and/or support the team's requirements for report creation and their analysis.
  • Identify and size opportunities in an account, create multi-product solution pitches and help the Account Management sales team to create a growth strategy for our high potential advertisers.
  • Plan and execute account reviews on a monthly, and\or quarterly, basis to develop the relationship.
  • Use advanced optimization techniques and work on complex optimization aligned to customers' goals across the HomeAway network.
  • Provide campaign updates and ensure that our advertisers are satisfied with their business growth.

Where will the role sit within the organization? Reporting to the Manager of Key Accounts (Partner Success Team) you will collaborate with arrange of internal departments including Product, Product Marketing, Marketing, Customer Experience, Trust and Security, Integration Services, and Legal to offer a complete suite of services to your customers. You will also closely coordinate other company executives for their strategic involvement with assigned key accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Documented sales successes in a quota environment.
  • 5-7 years of experience within account management, sales or marketing.
  • Ability to work well in a team and willingness demonstrate dedication to client service.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and client-servicing skills.
