Payment and Card Services Specialist | Location: 11149 Research Blvd Ste 300, Austin, TX 78759 | Schedule: Monday- Friday: 7:30am-4pm or 8:00am-4:30pm | Salary Range: $50,000- $57,500 | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
$1,000 Sign on Bonus: $500 paid on your first paycheck and $500 paid upon successful completion of 90 days of employment

What You'll DoCard Services & Payment Operations- Support card services functions including settlements, dispute handling, Falcon review, and back up coverage as needed
- Assist with ATM coordination, sponsor payroll inquiries, and other payment related functions
- Assist in processing ACH, sharedrafts, wire transfers, chargeback checks, and stop payments
- Assist in collecting on incoming and outgoing items and resolving clearing discrepancies
- Provide timely, courteous and professional support to members and internal departments via phone, email, and IM
- Research and resolve member inquiries related to account activity, check copies, and statements
- Monitor and take appropriate action on fraud alerts to resolve and minimize financial impact to the credit union and members
- Balance daily transactions and clearing accounts including teller, card settlements, and tax deposits
- Balance general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in accounting data entry
- Collaborate with accounting staff on projects, audits, and subpoena requests
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department objectives
- Must effectively carry out the essential duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates a commitment to Austin Telco’s mission and values of Respect, Empathy, Service, Integrity, and Cooperation
- One year experience in the payments industry, card services, or financial services operations
- Proficiency in balancing high volume transaction data and resolving discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with members
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and financial or accounting systems
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with core banking and card management systems and software (i.e. Symitar, Visa DPS, Q2)
- Working knowledge of Visa rules and regulations or a comparable card network
- Regulatory knowledge (NACHA Operating Rules, Check 21, Reg E, Reg Z, UCC Articles 3 & 4)
